HOW DO I CONTACT YOU TO SCHEDULE THE FIRST LESSON?
Contact us through the Contact Page and leave us the following information:
WHO ARE THE TEACHERS AT BML?
Our teachers are the most talented, experienced, and accomplished musicians in their fields, with the passion and ability to pass on the skills that they have spent their entire lives refining. All our teachers hold either Master’s or Doctor’s degrees in music and are highly experienced.
Brooklyn Music Lessons provides only BML-approved instructors who have met our stringent standards in our highly selective process. Unlike other services, we do not have ‘self-proclaimed’ teachers with little or no qualifications to teach music. As with most things in life – experience counts! Once you contact us through the Contact Page, we will then send you all the information regarding the available teachers for your requested time. All of our teachers hold either Master’s or Doctor’s degrees in music and are highly experienced. This said, if you are not satisfied with your teacher, we will work together to find you a better fit.
WHAT IS OUR PHILOSOPHY?
Music truly is a universal language, and we believe that with enough creativity and knowledge it can be taught to anyone at any age. We also believe that learning should be fun! Students work harder, persevere longer, and aspire higher when the experience is enjoyable. Our goal is to have each student from BML motivated and inspired to reach their personal best at all levels, ages and commitments.
WHAT IS THE TYPICAL AGE OF A BEGINNER STUDENT?
Age doesn’t matter! Absolutely anyone can learn an instrument no matter how young or old. At Brooklyn Music Lessons we have students ranging from 3 to 75 years old. Children are encouraged to start no earlier than 3 years old.
DO YOU OFFER PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES TO YOUR STUDENTS?
Yes! Performance opportunities are very important as a mean to offer students tangible goals and rewards, and build music confidence. Every spring we have our Annual Performance Concert with all our students in their different categories.
AM I TIED TO A LONG TIME CONTRACT?
No. We don't work with contracts or hidden fees. You pay as you go.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
There are no enrollment fees, and you won’t have to pay anything until you’ve already had your first lesson and are 100% satisfied with your teacher. After that, you can pay with cash, all major credit cards and checks, and we typically bill you in a regular 8-week cycle.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your lesson. Same day cancellations will result in a fee, as will missing your lesson without notifying your instructor or BML.
Contact us through the Contact Page and leave us the following information:
- The instrument you are interested in playing
- Your present level of playing (beginner’s, intermediate or advanced)
- Your contact information
